America's Family Pet Expo

was a hit

I keep screaming
"Hey, give me your money!!"
Mom said that was rude,
and I needed to sit nice and smile.
So I told every buddy if they want to touch me,
I work for food or loot.

Dogs and Sunscreen

Ms. Jane asks:
Since you live in a sunny region of the country, do you worry about your pups getting sunburned? And do you use sunscreen?
Mother:
I always keep an eye on Lily since she is white and does get pink around her nose. I have never applied sunscreen to my dogs since I don't allow them to bake in the sun. They always alternate sun, shade, sun shade.
There are some good facts on the French Bulldog Rescue Network site regarding dogs and sunburn.

Welcome Julius "Edward"... Part I

Once a pound of time mom dumped dropped me at my friend's house
and drove and drove and drove.
She said she will return with cheese  a surprise the next day.
I waited and waited.....
cheese, I dreamt of cheese...mom is returning with cheese.
*******************
The new addition was picked up from the nicest and very impressive
foster family.
Hi Every buddys
I am 5-year-old Edward.
Now I am Julius "Edward"
My parents had me since I was a baby.
But they were moving and couldn't take me!
Say what!!!
I was very very sad and confused.
Guess who came to rescue me?
Yep

Although my new mom and sissy volunteer for the rescue,
they had to go through the entire application process just like every buddy else.
She applied before sissy for a pup and didn't get it.
This time she was lucky.
This new lady, her name is mommy, took me shopping.
I pull so I needed a harness.
Hey sales kid,
I need a large. I want the most expensive one you have.
Perfect.
Lets get a move on.
So during the drive,
I was told all about my new sissy Lily, aka Monster.
When I arrived I was greeted by someone by the name of Blondie.
Hmmmmm, lots of love around this joint.
This must be the Monster.
I wasn't even out of the car when she started yelling you are NOT cheese.
Get outta here, don't touch my stuff.
Dog germs!
Hope you didn't bring your suitcase.
Yuk! A boy
Boy germs!
Your hiney stinks.
Stop grunting are you a piggy!
I was told you always have to meet new sissys
outside and on neutral territory.
We walked with no issues beside her yelling stuff out loud.
and you need braces!
We then moved to the back porch and kept our strings and harnesses
on in case there were any problems.

I had a warm welcome.
I am not sure why I get moved around
but I was told I will never have to be moved again even if Monster sissy hates me.
Peace
Julius "Edward"

PEE S.
Benny is looking down and approves of this.....
guess why?
When mom turned near the foster family's house
the name of the street was "Benson"
and the tears flowed again......

A New Kid On the Block

At times I am really sad and miss Benny.
Chubby was my companion.
No buddy will ever replace my Chubby.
I am going to get a new kid from a rescue.
Playing alone is only fun only sometimes.

Rescue Me Week

Friends  Mayzie is sponsoring
Rescue Week
in honor of grampie.
We are pawticipating and want to highlight a
French Bulldog Rescue Network pup
named Cricket
this is a little about her......
"By Jiminy, Cricket is ready to find her forever home! Cricket was surrendered by her owners when her grudge with their other dog just couldn’t be resolved, and they no longer had the time to manage the situation. She was also demonstrating symptoms of severe anxiety, and her woners knew they needed to get her some help. This was Cricket’s second home already, after she had been rescued from a puppy mill-type situation, so she is more than ready for some stability and a family to call hers for the rest of her life."

If you want to learn more, please click her link above...
Thank you Mayzie....

Mayzies Adopt A Dog

and her mom are being very generous and donating green paper $$ to a
rescue in need cause her grampie left her green stuff when he went to the rainbow bridge.
We are highlighting ......
Gui
is a French Bulldog in need of a special home.
He is a handicap, sweet and gentle boy....
a little about Gui

"Gui came to FBRN after he fell off a bed while playing and injured his spine, going down in the back. His former owner couldn’t afford the surgery to make him well, so he made the loving decision to turn him over to us for a second chance. Gui has recovered somewhat, but needs a forever home that will protect his back from further injury."

Please read more about him at the French Bulldog Rescue Network's site

Thank you Mayzie for letting us highlight Gui

My 7 Links Blog Post Project

Peggy's Pet Place tagged me in Tripbase's My 7 Links blog post project, created to unite bloggers of all types to highlight some of their favorite posts that deserve the spotlight. The idea is to post links in the 7 categories below... and then to nominate other bloggers to do the same.
so I was thinkin and thinkin....
1. "My Most Beautiful Post"
this is VERY hard...but...we love this playground and thought it was the best ever!
2.  My most popular post:
3. My most controversial post:
I was worried sick when my mom had to rush my Lily to the E.R
this was stuck in her throat

we think it was an accumulation of Nylabone pieces.
If mom was not home it would have been stuck in her throat.

4. My most helpful post
when we received our Atopica rebate credit card in the mail ($7)
we shopped online.

5. A post whose success surprised me
Lily stretching all over the sofa.
 6. A post I feel didn't get the attention it deserved
 Stubborn Lily
Calling Mr. Cesar...calling Mr. Cesar
7. The post I am most proud

We volunteer at the Pet Expo representing the French Bulldog Rescue Network.

This was hard choices Miss PEggy and Kelly but we did it!
We would like to passmy 7 Links to

Have fun
