Give Cancer the Paw

Today we are participating with The Writer's Dog and Ms. Peggy
to GIVE CANCER THE PAW blog hop.

As most of you know Benny was one special brother.
One day in June 2013 he was fine,
the next day diagnosed with liver cancer.
Cancer!
What are you talking about!
My hunka bunka chick magnet brother....?
Cancer?
His entire family are show dogs....
no buddy had "C" ....cancer.
Since he miraculously made it through a critical night
"my miracle boy" fought for the next four months.
It was the hardest four months of our lives.
The O.C Register interviewed Benny and mom, Tiny Super Heroes made 
brother a cape and our friend 
Murray Muffin sent us 
Fight Like A Frenchie bandanas.
Murray is still Fighting today.
Blogville and Facebook stepped up, they (YOU) donated love, time, green stuff
and never ending support.

Cancer SUCKS, friends...
Benny was a stand up kinda guy.
He adored everyone and every buddy.
He volunteered at the Pet Expo to raise funds for the 
On October 24, 2013...
yes at 2:04 p.m.
Benny went to sleep in my arms.
Its been difficult to this very day.

We miss Benny so much.....
We will now walk, me and my new brother Edward,
 to raise cancer awareness and 
FIGHT LIKE A FRENCHIE
Team Frenchie...
So friends
we will be forever grateful for you and helping us along the way.

The good......
Benny brought us so much joy
and we have a new brother
Julius "Edward"

    We can only imagine how difficult it has been for you and your mom over the last year...Benny was a Frenchie with the most spunk we know.
    We are sure Edward was a 'gift' to you and Benny had a paw in his arrival

  3. Oh Lily, I am tearing up at this beautiful post in memory of Benny. He sure was a standup guy and a true fighter. I am so happy you and Edward will be walking in his memory with Morris Animal Foundation.

  15. Benny put up a good fight, but the big C is almost unbeatable. Mom lost her dog Trine almost 11 yrs ago. Fine one day, gone a week later, she is still having trouble getting over it. Continue your fight for Benny!

  22. Oh, I thinks about Benny all the times..that tells you what a little dude with a big heart can do for the world. I HATES the evil 'C', and I am so glads you guys are on the front lines raisin' awareness and green papers to wipe it off the face of the earth!!!

  37. It is a horrible disease..a cruel and unrelenting thing...we lost our Rottie he was fine one day next day his liver was gone and we said goodbye on day three..he was 8 ,.you keep fighting guys...and bravo...hugs and loves Fozziemum xx
