Shedding...Help

Ms. Gina asks:
We heard that French Bulldogs don't shed as much as other breeds. Do you have any issues with shedding and if so do you do anything to control it.
This was after one comb through

Mother:
Frenchies are "medium" shedders. NOT! Lily is shedding so much right now I thought she was going bald. I personally use the Furminator and a brush every other day. Also, vacuum and vacuum.... I was tempted to try a shampoo but never have. I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions.

  9. UGH, shedding. What we do is let the dog fur cover the carpets, then we change the drapes and pretend like we re-decorated. :-)

J/K! It is vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, it seems like that vacuum never gets put away!

  12. For some reason, our mom is laughing hysterically right now. We have no idea why. Something to do with the amount of furs we shed.
Anyway, FurMinators aren't recommended for Sibes, but Mom has a bevy of other brushes and combs she uses on us. And she has 4 vacuums. I'm not kidding. She's a lunatic.
    Yours sincerely,
    Mags

  16. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! Cobi is a big shedder. This means she is not allowed on the couch as much as I am. Ha ha!!

  17. Despite having two mini aussies, I don't deal with much shedding except for the twice a year they blow their coat. Nola hardly sheds, and wire dachshunds barely shed.

  19. BOL - shedding???? We could make lots of new puppies with all the furs we shed. We don't use the furminator brush because it breaks all our furs, but Mom tries to brush us at least a few times a week. And oh yes, lots of good vacuuming:)

  20. I'm here to tell you that Labs shed lots and lots too! But, only in the spring and fall. Right now, there's not much shedding in our house.

  21. We love Furminator especially for cats! The Lady noticed a difference between dog and cats shedding. The cats caused balls of fur floating all over the floors (wood) where my fur sticks to the floor laying a film all over it. Fun huh? Love Dolly

  25. Never, ever get corgis if shedding is an issue. They release a full corgi's worth of hair every single day of the year.
