Washing Stuffies, Yay or Nay

JoJo asks:
Do you think its important to wash your dogs toys. If so, have you ever followed through?

Mother:
I have this thing about germs and keeping Lily and Edwards clothes, stuffies and bowls clean. I do wash the stuffies once every two months.

  1. Mom doesn't wash our stuffies because they don't last 5 minutes in our house! BOL!

  2. I wash Jester and Lillie's, too. I need to replenish their stock... I buy them from a thrift store!

  3. I also wash the "survivors" every couple of months (or sooner if they are getting smelly!), along with the pups beds.

  6. Rosie, my blind weiner dog does not play with her stuffies. She guards them. She is crazy like that. I wash her bedding once a month. She has her own quilt collection.

  8. Mom washes our BEDS and BLANKIES and our Foodables and Water Bowl.... butt she has never washed our Stuffies... We suspect that she is afraid they might EX or IM Plode one or the other... in the washering thingy... and then there would be Stuffie Guts EVERYWHERE... and we would be REALLY ANGRY about THAT... mom always tries to AVOID the WRATH of FURTER and the IRE of ERNIE the Attorney.
    Just sayin.

  9. Better than me, haha. I never wash their toys. Blankets and beds are a different story! Those are washed every 5-7 days, and bowls get washed daily.

  12. We are not as responsible as you. We rarely wash our dogs' stuffies. And, many of them don't last long enough to get dirty!

  14. Mom says that is a very good idea. She tries to wash ours about that often, but they are usually in shreds and tatters by then. Time for new ones, we say!

  15. We wash beds once a month, and bowls all the time, but stuffies rarely as it usually kills the squeakers but on the other hand, most of them only survive a few weeks at our house.

  23. Mum does steal my stuffs and sticks them in that nasty machine. I sit in front of it and watch my toys getting dizzy! When they come out I has to give them a good licking to get them back to smelling nice!

  24. This going to sound like dog abuse, but....my Frenchie flatmate has no stuffies!!!! He has one big plastic bone. That's it. It's because he's chewed all of them to death. I am his living stuffie. No-one puts me in the washing machine.
