A few friends have asked this question---
Have you experienced any side effects from bringing Lily and
Edward to the beach?
Mother:
No and no...it actually helps sooth their feet and calm
their allergies. The vet even mentioned, not to long ago, to bring Lily to the
beach and get her feet wet. I find the salt water reacting the same way on me
as it does on my pups...healing. I do rinse the sand off when we get home.
YES! to salt water :-) Sugar agrees + she loves to swim. Woofs to you guys, we might join your beach adventure soon. Golden Woofs

ReplyDeleteI enjoy going to the beach but we do not go very often (even though it is so close). I must have been gone for too long...your header is different. I like it!

Beaches are fun places, and now it sounds like good healing places, too!
ReplyDeleteDEAR MOTHER; YOU ARE CORRECT..AT LEAST MY MOM SAYS SO.
ReplyDeleteMOM USED TO GET LOTS OF SKINNED KNEES (SHE CANNOT WALK AND CHEW GUM AT THE SAME TIME). SO NEARLY EVERY TIME SHE WENT TO THE BEACH SHE HAD A SKINNED KNEE IT ALWAYS HEALED UP QUICKLY AFTER THAT FIRST BIT OF SALT WATER.
HUGS MADI
I bet the beach also calms more than just your allergies. It always did me. We do miss the beach, but try to get to it whenever possible. This last August though, I got bit my no-see-ims and it was when I was sitting on the sand. Hope you don't have those at your beach.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

So your mom admits to water boarding y'all after a trip to the beach.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Ah, yes, the healing power of salt water. Jan used to love to walk on the beach. We've never seen one. Perhaps if we dig deep enough, we'll find a beach to walk.
ReplyDeleteWow, it sounds like it is a kind of Spa visit.
ReplyDeleteLove Sasha
That's great, and lucky you get to go so often!
ReplyDeleteThe salt in the sea air really did wonders for our fur in Germany. We also had the Wattmeer which was the green mud stuff that really softened up our pads.
ReplyDeleteHER mother's fave home remedy....gargle with salt water. Good for everything. So salty beach water has to be good.
ReplyDeleteThat is very good to know..
