Love is meant to be shared. Benny would be so thrilled to know you are ready. Ask Benny to help you "find" your next sibling. :) I promise you he will.
My frenchie Napolean says "Go for it, Lily! Of course no other sibling can replace Benny in your heart, but it would be so nice to have a new little buddy to share your life with" xox
In my opinion, there will be two of you very soon... Benny would be glad that you care for a rescued Frenchie. And remember, love never disappears, it just grows.
Dear Lily...Several years ago I lost my best friend (Josh) who was an Airedale mix rescue. For a year I was by myself, then my Mom found Gucci, who was a rescue from Tennessee. Since then I have been much more perky and have a sparkle in my eye. It will happen to you too. I think your Mom is ready to make a move... Love, Phoebe
Oh Miss Lilly, I was lonely too until I got my brother Harry. We play and tumble and I am so happy now. You definitely need a playmate that the stuffing won't come out of or his eyes fall off. BOL
Oh dear Lily, we think it is a wonderful idea and Benny would agree. A friend once told us that the best way to honor the furbabies we have lost, is to share your love with another. hugs Mr Bailey, Hazel & Greta
We think it is a wonderful idea, and as others have said, if you are starting to think about it, then maybe it is the right time. And we know Benny would wholeheartedly approve.
Well Lily, I suggest you go and have a word with your Momma, and explain to her how lonely you are without a brother or sissie, and ask her if she feels ready to bring another bundle of fun into the house. I do hope she understands and says yes. Toodle pip! Bertie.
Only you and your mom know if it's the right decision! I know I would have been lost without Cammie after we lost Dave. She's my best friend now! (Maggie, too, but she's different!) Play bows, Zim
It's a difficult decision Lily. We lost our little girl just before Christmas and are trying to decide whether to have one 'newbie' or two ? Do you enjoy being the center of attention all the time more than you want to have a playmate? Very hard choice to make
Sounds Like a great idea Lily and it sounds like you and your Mama are ready too, plus Benny would want you to be lonely he would wnat you to have lots of fun with a new friend and you can tell him or her all about Benny too,xx SPeedy
It's a difficult decision to make, especially when you've had two dogs that are very bonded to each other. I think that in general, dogs like the company of other dogs (that's why Dex goes to daycare). That said, I was spoiled by the wonderful, mutual, bond of my first two dogs. While subsequent pairings of dogs got along OK, I never again had any two that adored and relied on each other the way my Pi and Angus did. So, do get a brother or sister, but remember that you will need to be patient with getting to know each other.
Oh sweet Lily. Nobody will ever replace Benny BUT we bet he'd want you to keep having fun so he can look down and see you enjoying yourself. He will always be in your heart, someone else just might keep you busy :-)
We say go for it !!!!!!!!!!!! Benny will ALWAYS have a special your heart but that doesn't meant there isn't room for another furbaby to love and give a wonderful home too and we doggies are pack animals - we do better with buddies and you need someone to play with:)
Lily you and mom have a ton of love to share! And I am sure stuffie is in need of a break. There is a lucky bro or sis just waiting for you and we expect Benny will help you find he/she. Will it be a FBD?
If the thought is there the time is right. Nothing can replace Benny but loneliness is not a nice place to visit. We hope you and mum find a wee one to at least fill part of that huge void Benny has left behind. We pray Bennys' spirit guides you to the right choice. Best wishes Molly
Lily, I have only one thing to say. Get a Great Dane brother!! They are sooooo easy to boss around hehehe. Otherwise, we think it is a great idea whatever you decide on! No worries, and love, Stella (Bossy Big Sister) and Rory (Downtrodden younger brother, sigh)
We think you were a FABULOUS sister to and for Benny... and it would be a very much wonderful TRIBUTE to HIM. Maybe you could get your PAWS WET... by trying a Foster ... just to see how you like it.
Dear Lily. From what I understand having just one Frenchie is not the best so I think you should find a sister or a brother. If we didn't have a Lily in our family(a Bichon-Poodle that my daughter has)we would definitely need to get Hunter a sibling. Can't wait to see what happens. Wags, Noreen & Hunter
It's hard to know when the right time is, I think. I also think that if you're debating....then you're kind of deciding ;) I wish you the best of luck in finding a new family family member! <3
We thinks it is a PAWESOME idea. There are so many doggies and kitties that need homes. And we thinks Benny would be very pleased to know that you honored the love you have for him by sharing your home with a doggie that needed a family.
We know this sibling would never replace Benny, just like Phody didn't replace our Gemi, but they create a new place in our hearts. Wishing you luck with your search. Lee and Phod
I think that's a lovely idea, Just think Valentines day is coming soon. A little brother or sister would be a perfect gift. Your heart is ready Benny is still there but there is always room for more love.
I think its so unselfish of you Lily---to be thinking of sharing some of the love that comes to you with another doggy. Of course Benny lives in your heart and ours too,, but I think he would like for another doggy to feel some love too. Very very unselfish heart you have. love tweedles
I think Benny would understand if you got another doggy. You'll always have a special place in your heart for him. You won't be replacing him by any means, but it would be nice to not be a lonely only.
Lily I think it would be lovely to offer your home and heart to a new bro or sis...we all need a same species friend...and we never replace those we have lost but we do bring a new life that's unique into our world..pretty sure you have already made the decision sweet girl :) hugs and lovies Fozziemum and gang xx
Hi Lily! I love the photo, you look totally chilled out and oh so cute! I think that Benny wouldn't mind you having a new brother or sister at all, it would be something really loving to save a doggie in need and you will always have Benny in your heart just like he is in mine, we will never forget him and neither will you, its just time to have a brother or sister to share beating up stuffies and even better to beat up each other, play fighting with a friend is the BEST! Love Frank xxxxxx
Lily, we think you and your mom should take your time. It's a big decision, although it would be wonderful to provide a home to a dog in need. We applaud you for thinking about rescuing. Just take your time and do it when it feels right. If that's tomorrow or never, as long as it feels right in your head, heart and gut, it's the right time. Pugs and kisses
We agree with Brenda and vote yes. Since we are in rescue we see SO MANY needing loving homes. You and your Mom would surely give a lot of live and happiness to a brother or sister needing a home. We think Rescue Rocks! We don't think Benny would mind. AND. you have lots of good memories and pics of him. Good luck with whatever you decide. :-) Barb and the furkid crew

Maybe angel-Benny is whispering in your ear that he doesn't want you to be sad anymore, and a new friend might help?
