Ben Ben Update

Friends, this is Benny's nurse. Call me Nurse Lily. He went to the uncl-ologist (Oncologist) Thursday.  He got a chemo shot.  He took it like Big Boy Benny. So far so good, no side effects.

Although brother's whole liver is bad with "C" we are still waiting to hear if its "mast cell..." or "lymphoma." Lymphoma is a tiny bit better. We will keep our Benny as comfortable as comfortable can be. He may have a month or 87 months, but one day at a time friends.  Benny will "Fight Like A Frenchie."

He has no pain and is eating like a champ. Thank you... thank you friends. I know you got Benny's back.

Snorts, Benny & Lily

  3. Lily, make sure you take care of yourself too. When our Loki got sick, the stress from being the nurse made our Gemi sick too. There was nothing wrong other then she was stressed out. So you make sure you take some time for you.

    Enjoy every second with Benny!

  9. Hi Lily! You remember that our brother Gizmo had the evil "C" a couple of years ago. There wasn't really anything that his dogtor could do for him 'cept keep him comfortable, so that's just what we did. We hung out, and he had visitors and we laid with him and he got tons and tons of snuggles from everyone - especially us. We really knew when he wanted space from us and when he wanted snugles. You have a very hard job of keeping Benson AND your mom from getting too sad. We've got YOUR back!

    Love,

    Bart and Ruby

  16. So glad to hear Benny has not had any side-effects from his chemo Nurse Lily. When our dad had his chemo, he was throwing up for days and all his furs fell out, he he! That is very good advice to take it one day at a time.

  19. Your post has some hope in it and that's good. You're right, one day at a time. The most important thing is to do the very best that you can for Benny. He's getting his meds, the best care that you can arrange, love and support from you and Lily and his friends online. Push ahead and whatever happens, you'll always be able to look back without any regrets or second guesses.
