Get outta town monsters.
Stop waving hello and giving me a thumbs up.
Here they come!
Step on it mom
Lily (& Benny)
Pee S.
Mom is terrified when we are on our walk. I am suddenly obsessed with these things.
If I break loose, I will be gone.
If you remember about a year ago,
we were walking and my Flexi leash snapped.
I ran after a motorcycle through a busy parking lot.
I wouldn't listen and kept running.
I didn't get squished by a car.
The motorcycle man caught me. I licked him.
Mom cried and hugged me, nutty.
The motorcycle man caught me. I licked him.
Mom cried and hugged me, nutty.
Mom is trying everything (no more Flexi. It was an up to 45 lbs one too)
The very FURST day Momma had me, we were on a walk and a motorcycle came by. I freaked out and twisted RIGHT out of my collar, then ran off the other direction. Momma was running after me screaming, but I didn't know my new name yet! She thought she'd lost me for good, but I came back when she stopped running and started crying. I loved her already!
ReplyDeleteWELL, I think this is all beclaws YOU Want your very much OWN Hog!! BUTT you should not try to CATCH one... You gotta use your mom's Plastic thingy... I'll bet you could find a Good HOG on the InterMutts... then next time your mom goes to work.. She would be SOOOOO surprised to see a HOG in the driveway when she comes home.
ReplyDeleteWow you chase motorbikes , I chase horses. Your poor peeps. Have a lovely Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Would you two please stay safe???????
ReplyDeleteOh no! Be careful!

Lily, My Mommy got scared just reading about how you ran. I do that to for cars, bikes anything, no matter how they yell I just keep going. I don't know why. If you figure it out could you let me know. Mommy cries too when I do that. I don't like it when she cries but I just can't help myself. Maybe we should start a support group.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
A support group may be the answer
DeleteNo more of that. I am telling you.
ReplyDeleteBehave and be safe
Love and licks, Winnie
Tell your mom to get you a side car so you can go riding with the motorcycles!!
ReplyDeleteMom is afraid of those same things. She tells me that when I was a puppy and I got away somehow. I went running and my mother came running after me. I thought it was all a grand old game, and we were having fun? I kept going, egging her on to catch me... right into the middle of a busy intersection. My mother walked right in there with me to try to catch me. Something got my scent and I stopped, in which she was able to grab me up in the middle of a lot of angry drivers honking horns and yelling out their windows to get me a leash. She didn't have to follow me in there, sheesh, but she said that she did so people would STOP their cars. They could see her more than they could see me. And she was barefoot on the hot blacktop too! And she has never let me forget it either. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteWe know how to keep the moms on their toes
DeleteI say you need your own HOG. Or at least one with a side car so you can cruise. Then you can get some leather duds.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
I hate motorcycles too and my dad owns five of them!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch
Wow! That's some big hate for motorcycles......maybe you just want to ride with them and feel the wind in your furs!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Wow, I'm so happy that you didn't get squished! My mom person hates those motorcycles.
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Hey - what did you see out the window!
ReplyDeleteMy people get mad-scared-loud sometimes too about the strangest things. Like when I was sniffing something really interesting on the ground. It was some kind of animal, and it had moved, so I followed its trail. The trail went from the grass onto the hard, hot, flat stuff.
Then my person was yelling, and there was a loud noise. When I looked up there was a big beast named Car. I think it was glaring at me. I think it was telling me to MOVE. The big Car beast was very rude, and not patient at all. It should learn to share the thing called "road".
And why was my person yelling too?
People are so strange at times.
Licks,
Cobi
Oh my how scary
DeleteWowzers, that's scary!

PeeS Come visit us tomorrow fur Sunday Smile, we thinks you will like it. :)
Be safe! Mom got one of those carabiner (little one) to act as a double snap for my leash. That way, if one breaks, I don't go anywhere!
ReplyDeleteNola
Oh dear! That would have been super scary for your mum! Floydie recently escaped and ran down the street. That was scary!
ReplyDeleteThat is very scary! I think our moms love us so much that they would cry for a million years if we got lost! But those motorcycles sound so weird that we like to chase them. Maybe we can teach our mom to Chase them with us?
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Murphy and Stanley
That must have been very scary for your Mom, Lily. Please don't do that again.
ReplyDeleteHere's a crazy idea - tell Mom to get one of those two wheelers and put a basket on the back for you and Benny:)
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Lily, like Phantom, Thunder, Ciara and Lightning said, don't scare your mom like that and pls not do it again :)

Do you promise?

WOW!!! You sure know how to scare the mom! I can't believe you want to run after those things. They're so loud. Careful...you know us cats sometimes have to go outside in strollers. Now THAT would be humiliating.
ReplyDeletexo, Katie
You two are adorable and all, but seriously...you have to be REALLY careful around those great big HOGS!!! They are dangerous!! We will worry about you guys...how 'bout just barking from INSIDE the car!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
ReplyDeleteHi Lily! You are cool!
ReplyDeletebut Do not chase motor cycles and cars.
My mom also remembered the time when I did it...
Be careful, Lily and Benny!
Kisses
Matilda
Lily, tell mom to buy a hog so you can ride on one instead of chasing it.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Lily
I was laughing at the photos til I read about your Mom's fear...what about a heavier chain leash?
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad the man on the motorcycle rescued you or else you would've been running all over the city for hours and that would make all of us worry about you! As a professional pet sitter/dog walker I can attest to the fact that Flexi-leashes aren't very safe so I suggest that your mom use a regular leash, okay?
ReplyDeleteI know you heard the news that you won the SILLY SATURDAY PHOTO CAPTION CONTEST today so congratulations! Please send your mailing address to misskitty32504ATyahooDOTcom so we can mail your gifts to you as soon as pawsible!
Okay Benny and Lily as you saw by my Monday post I lived in the land of the hogs for all weekend and never once crossed my mind to chase them...or that could be why mom keeps me in my stroller. One time right after she got me, I escaped from her in the dark outside and there was lots of snow and mom fell twice tripping over her pj's trying to catch me, Sam likes to run up to the highway and run along side of the traffic and sometimes i follow...so that is why we now live in Alcatraz when we go outside....mom's heart couldn't handle our little pranks anymore.

Woof to you Lily!!!! My assistant is terrified of losing me as a result of leash or collar hardware failing when we need it most.
ReplyDeleteThat's why she ALWAYS walks me with this 2 pronged leash (http://leerburg.com/5131.htm). She attaches one prong to my head collar and the other prong to a martingale collar that I wear as a back up. Your mom could attach one prong to your collar with your tags and the other to your harness.
This way, if one piece of hardware on any device fails, there is a back up to catch me so that I won't run loose. I realize that this leash is way unchic, unsexy and unstylish, but with me it's safety first, and for that purpose, this leash does the trick.
Much love to you Lily - XXOO - Mazzie
