Road to Recovery

I am home
Dr. B, the neurologist stole my 67 blings
They stuck me in water therapy
They stuck me in physical therapy
But they did give a get well card.

Every day for a month I have to do 87 exercises
Doc said no running and only 5 minute total walks.
The pictures of my insides showed my discs pushing on my spinal cord/back.
Any day, Doc said I could have been paralyzed if mom didn't bring me in when she saw my uncomfortableness

Snorts,
Benny & Lily

  3. Oh, Lily. I'm so sorry. I know how much bad discs hurt. PT can make such a big difference. Do those 87 exercises (and drop the beer/cheeseburgers)! OK? We all want you to feel better.

Do you get to walk on an underwater treadmill? If you do, please ask your mom to take video... Don't worry, even K says that it's fun.

  14. Lily you have so much to be thankful for that your mommy did see you uncomfortable and got you in. Having the surgery was no cake walk but you have been a real trooper. You have much to do on your road to recovery! I bet you will learn to like the water therapy! Less stressful and hopefully more relaxing...think of it all as a spa day just for Lily!

Maybe mom will find you a new bling collar....

  19. We are so thankful that your mum is on the ball! But we think 5 minutes TOTAL for walks is a bit harsh. At least you'll be able to enter the sleeping events in the Olympics.

  26. OH lilly, We are so glad your human got you to the doctors. Now I know it will be hard, but be sure to do exactly what they tell you to and NO JUMPING up on or down off the furniture and NO STAIRS.

Enjoy the therapy, some of it feels really good.

  27. So now you are just like our Dad! Except I bet you're going to be better about doing your exercises than he is! Take care of yourself, Miss Lily, and be nice to your Mom - she clearly takes very good care of you!

  39. Woof to you Lily!!!! I'm so glad to hear that your stitches are finally out. It's so scary to think what could have happened had your mom not been so on top of everything. I imagine that the physical therapy will be challenging, but please be patient and commit to it so that when you're done, you'll be even better than your former self. And how nice of everyone to get you a card!!!! Much you to you, Benny and your mom - XXOO - Mazzie
