Polly Want A Cracker

This is Polly. She is a wild animal and an Amazon.
She is looking right at us.
These Wild Parrots scream louder than my Lily.
These two are yelling and twirling on the phone lines.
Whhoooaa! Caaaaaaaaakkkk.
These are really wild parrots that decided to live in Southern California.
Pretty nutty, huh?
You have a big beak Polly.
This is Polly flying...just kidding...
While we were looking at these crazy kids.
We spotted a ??!!! WHAT!!!
We thought it was a butterfly. It's a bat!!
In broad daylight.
How about this little hairy beetle. Yuk, no more explorin.
We are going to take a snooze.
Have a fun filled day.

  1. Nice nature hike and right in your neighborhood!
We like bats...Dad made a bat house and hung it up on a tall pole in the garden. Then a woodpecker came along and tore it all apart!
    Darn bird!

  4. Wow, you live in a regular safari there! Nothing colorful like that around here, although lately it FEELS like a tropical rainforest. If the heat & humidity don't knock it off soon, I do think parrots might migrate here!

  10. WOW, that is so cool. I never knew you had parrots in SO. Cal. and bats in the day time.. yikes, I would worry about that in New England.. We had a bat once laying on the bathroom floor and we all had to get rabies shots. It is a crazy story, but true!
