Okay friends, do you realize how we have our pawrents trained? or just a momma or just a dad? We are highly intelligent big, medium and little creatures. It goes like this...mom wanna play ball?...nudge....nudge...nudge...
I won't leave until you throw it. Ut oh...mom.....you threw it and it bounced and is stuck under the bed.. come mommy come, come get our ball.
The next game is fun. We push the ball under furniture or between things and mom gets it. Lily will make odd noises like a human baby til mom retrieves it. Oh mommy...guess what...![]()

The most important training we subjected mom to was treats aka: cookies. Awwwww, she said...look at those adorable faces...Wanna cookie? So kids, its not that difficult. I am sure most of you already know the rules. BOL

ReplyDeleteWe are currently working on a training programme with our humans but they are not coming along as well as your mom.
One of the obstacles we face is that she is distracted by the computer.
We are sometimes having to be quite forceful with her - we have jumped on top of her and are quite good at getting our heads between her hands and the keyboard in order to have our petting needs met!
We will follow your tips but if you can think of anything else to help please get in touch.

Oh yes! The Mango does the same thing. I "drop" my toys under the furnitures and then try to get them out which usually results in couches moving around and lamps toppling over and momma moving most quickly and making fun squeee sounds.

ReplyDeleteWe make sure we have looooots of tennis balls to play with so our mom is always retrieving them from under the furniture. Oscar has a very specific whine that pierces moms ears too. He uses it and mom gets the balls out post haste! Yeah, we have her trained pretty good.

When I was a little pup my mom was very good at helping me find my toys. Back then I had her trained good. But now, she just looks at me and tells me to figure it out myself. My sad puppy dog face just doesn't work on her anymore.

Excellant post, you can never be too well trained in this area. I am a master of jumping up on Mommy with a toy, when she is all comfy in her recliner and then dropping said toy on the floor. Next of course I must cry for the toy until she gets up to let me get it. It is an exhausting game for me, but it keep Mommy in good form, so it is worth it.

I am SO with you! Got my momma trained to a tee! She even lifts the covers for me so I can crawl under without having to root around! Hehehehe - such is the life with a well-trained human, right guys?
